Shauna Lupaschuk is a Canadian mom whose site is constantly updated with moving, inspirational stories of kindness. It’s a good place to turn when you’re starting to feel the world turn cold and gray.
Writer and motivational coach CJ Scarlet coined the phrase “Kindness Cure” after being told by her doctor in 2002 that her autoimmune problems threatened her life. Her site describes how she reversed her medical problems by changing her outlook. CJ Scarlet is truly inspiring.
Here’s a fun concept: Cross the childhood game of tag with acts of kindness, and you get Tagged By Kindness. The site sells $5 cards with serial numbers to players, who pass the card to others along with a kind act. One ‘tag’ card can be passed forward indefinitely, and players are urged to register the card number and see how many kindnesses it has inspired – and where.
Is kindness contagious? Help Others is engaged in a tag strategy similar to Tagged by Kindness, only their downloadable cards are free and there’s no online tracking. It’s a simple ‘pay-it-forward’ concept that encourages others to reciprocate for kind acts.
